Join Go ON NI engagement events

Imagine your life without the web. Quite tough, right? Well, for 345,000 NI adults and thousands of small businesses and charities, this is a reality.

They don’t have the Basic Online Skills to explore the internet’s vast and varied opportunities. That means no emails to friends and family, no saving money and time or raising awareness online. Go ON NI aims to change that. Can you help?

What’s happening in NI?

This April we’re kickstarting the Go ON NI programme to engage national and local people and partners who are passionate about helping every person and organisation gain Basic Online Skills.

Our objectives:

  • Increase the Basic Online Skills of NI’s population
  • Provide a platform for sustainable digital skills programmes
  • Build a replicable model for other UK nations

Help shape the programme

Choose from eight initial engagement events and see what you can do. To be held at four NI locations – Derry, Belfast, Dungannon and Newry – there are two types of event:

  • For people who would like to help individuals
  • For people who would like to help small businesses and charities

Find out more and register

Choose from the Eventbrite links below:

Wednesday 26th Feb, Tower Hotel, Derry

Tuesday 4th March, NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) Belfast

Tuesday 11th March, Dungannon Enterprise Centre, Dungannon

Tuesday 18th March, WIN Business Centre, Newry

Why should I attend?

  • Be part of something big – opportunity to be part of Go ON NI, help your local area prosper and contribute to NI becoming a ‘digital skills’ example for other nations
  • Free resources and support – find out more about what’s available to help you open opportunities for people or organisations in your area
  • Make a difference – make your mark on the Go ON NI plan and share resources
  • Partnership development – make new contacts, explore partnership opportunities and discover more about who’s already helping people or organisations in your local area to get connected

Together, we can make NI the UK’s most digitally skilled nation and ensure that every person and organisation has the Basic Online Skills they need.
